It is with great enthusiasm (and relief) to introduce to you the first issue of "Sola Fide", the newsletter of Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Matthew has written regarding the newest media outlet from Faith Church,

"I hope that you will find this periodical to be a volume of information that will be useful to your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ: information about current Bible Studies, Community Groups, Youth, Athletics, Calendar and Event Information, and additionally, I will be writing an article each issue."

Some of you may be wondering about the name... The Latin phrase, Sola Fide, is translated “by Faith Alone”. The doctrine of sola fide or “by faith alone” asserts God’s pardon for guilty sinners is granted to and received through faith alone, to the exclusion of all human efforts or works.

The name of our church (Faith EPC) is a confession to the community and to the world of our reliance on the grace of God alone. Therefore, we were led to label this humble publication after that great protestant doctrine... “by Faith Alone”.

Printed copies of this newsletter will be available near the Welcome Station in the Church Narthex and in the Front Office.

I hope that you will enjoy this newsletter and be helped by it... but even more than that, I hope that you will in turn hand this off to a friend, neighbor or coworker and invite them to come and see the wonderful things God is doing here at Faith Church.
